Welcome to Simple Strength Leixlip! Our team of dedicated postpartum fitness coaches and personal trainers is here to support you on your fitness journey. Get to know our exceptional coaches who bring passion, expertise, and a personal touch to every fitness class.
Maggie and Rebecca are personal trainers who share a passion for fitness coaching. We have each experienced the negative impacts of diet culture personally, and witnessed the fitness industry’s harmful perpetuation of body shame and dissatisfaction.
United in our non-diet approach to health and fitness, we are dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for our gym members.
We have a common dislike for burpees and shouting 🙂 So you can expect never to experience them in a Simple Strength Leixlip fitness class!
Coach Maggie: Owner of Simple Strength Leixlip, Postpartum Fitness Coach and Personal Trainer

Hi I’m Maggie, owner and head coach at Simple Strength Leixlip. I love my job as a Personal Trainer, Postpartum Fitness Coach, Inclusive Kettlebell Coach and Beginner Run Group Coach.
After an injury in 2015 I started strength training to help my recovery. I loved everything about how strength training made me feel. I also became pregnant with my second baby that year, and knew I wanted to continue going to my fitness class to stay strong and active during my pregnancy.
This passion and interest would go on to have a major influence on my life and career path, as I later became a personal trainer and left my 10 year nursing career behind.
In November 2022 I opened Simple Strength Leixlip. I am delighted to have Coach Rebecca on board, helping our members reach their goals.
I established the Inclusive Movement and Nutrition Podcast in 2025, and from that journey, I founded Body Image Ireland.
In my spare time I love to get out for a run, especially in the Dublin and Wicklow mountains. I am a run leader with She Summits Trail Running, a cofounder of Trail Criú and Irish Mountain Challenges.
Coach Rebecca: Personal Trainer, Yoga Teacher and Postnatal Fitness Specialist

Hi, I’m Rebecca.
I’m Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Postnatal Fitness Trainer and Kettlebell Coach in Leixlip.
At the age of 17 I went to my very first yoga class. My mam figured it might help a stressed-out teenage me a little! It really did, and over the years, I have kept returning to the mat.
I also love strength training and Olympic weight lifting. In my down time I enjoy getting out in nature.
My background is in biomedical science and I am fascinated by the human body and mind in all its complexities. I am especially passionate about yoga as a tool for promoting mental health and wellbeing.
I am currently taking Lauren Anderson’s Mama Love Pre and Postnatal Yoga teacher training and I am so excited to eventually begin teaching prenatal and postnatal yoga classes.
As a mother of three children under 10, I understand how challenging it can be to establish a consistent routine amidst work, childcare, and the demands of motherhood, including navigating pregnancy and postpartum. I am here to support you in your journey. Visit Rebecca’s website here.
